Ugh! Don’t get me started!
I was doing a term paper one semester about why computers should not be used in high schools (not my belief at all, but just the topic of my paper). I had the whole thing written and ready to print when my computer crashed. No biggie, I thought, since I had “saved often.” When I got my computer up and running, the file with my paper on it had been corrupted. The ONLY file on my entire computer to be corrupted! Ugh!
Luckily I had dated a computer genius and knew how to retrieve my work from DOS. It was still all funky and lost some of the info, but I just added all the garbled crap to my final paper as an appendix. And I was lucky enough to have a prof who gave me an extension to get my paper cleaned up and in.
